Jennifer Wilson has been licensed to practice law in the State of Indiana, as well as federal court, since 2011. She graduated summa cum laude from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Equine Science and Business Administration. During her time at the Woods, Jennifer was heavily involved in the Equine Department, including but not limited to serving as the captain for the Hunt Seat Team for two (2) years. She then graduated from Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis, in 2010. Jennifer has been a life long horse owner, and currently owns five (5) horses with her husband, Mike. Jennifer has studied and participates in a variety of equine disciplines, including driving, various western disciplines, and hunter/jumpers. Currently, Jennifer is studying and competing in dressage with her Oldenburg gelding, Cheech. Jennifer teaches riding lessons in Johnson County. Currently, Jennifer is practicing law on a part-time basis with her father at their law firm, Wilson & Wilson, in Whiteland, Indiana. At this time, Jennifer focuses on equine related legal issues, real property issues, estate planning and administration, and criminal defense law. Jennifer uses her extensive background in horses and law to help educate individuals and businesses in the horse industry about how to protect themselves from liability, better management practices, land use issues, and various government/legal issues affecting the equine industry on all levels.
