Jared Jackson is a farrier who was born and raised in Orange County, California. Jared spent four years in the United States Navy on the USS Independence CV-62. After his service, he apprenticed for 2 years before attending Pacific Coast Horseshoeing School. In 2001, Jared moved to Indiana to apprentice with Dale Jackson. Jared co-owns Jackson Farrier Supplies, Inc. based in Indianapolis. He has been a member of the Indiana Farriers’ Association for 15 years and was a member of the IFA’s board for over 6 years including four years as president. He is a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Fortville, Indiana, and is a serving on two of the church’s committees. He is a father to two boys, is married to an amazing woman, and lives in Greenfield, Indiana.
